Covid restrictions have been significantly eased or lifted around the world, and live poker is once again available. One of the biggest events on the horizon (other than the WSOP) is the PokerStars Players Championship (PSCP). Under it, a large-scale promotional campaign began in the room, which we will tell about today.

What is the PSPC tournament and why do I need a Platinum Pass?

The PokerStars Players Championship is a $25,000 PokerStars branded tournament in the Bahamas that takes place in January. As planned by the organizers, this should not be an exclusive for high rollers, but, on the contrary, an accessible event for any player, which can be selected for a very affordable amount.

The first and currently the only PSPC festival took place in 2019, with 1039 players participating, of which more than 300 were satellites. The now well-known regular in Spain Ramon Colillas won, he was immediately made a branded professional.

Platinum Pass is the trendy name for the PSPC membership package. It includes a $25,000 buy-in and $5,000 travel and accommodation costs.

In 2023, PokerStars is planning to host the biggest $25,000 live tournament in history, so expect a lot of promo with the Platinum Pass. We will talk about one of them called Ticket Machine below.

Mega Path is the easiest way to get into the PSPC

Agree that the "grid of step satellites" does not sound as cool as Mega Path. But in fact, Mega Path is exactly what it is. You can start with any of the five steps that suits your bankroll.

  • Step 0 - $0.50 Spin&Go or $0.50 Sit&Go
  • Step 1 - $1.50 Spin&Go or $5 Sit&Go
  • Step 2 - $20 MTT. Passes every day. Guarantee from 3 to 10 tickets to the next step.
  • Step 3 - $100 MTT. Passes twice a week. Guarantee from 5 to 10 tickets to the next step.
  • Step 4 - $1000 MTT, but no direct buy-in. You can get to the final only from Step 3. It takes place only on Sundays at 22:05 Moscow time. Warranty - 1 Platinum Pass.

The $0.50 Spin&Go tournaments (which are Step 0) are not just about the buy-in to the next step. You can immediately win a Platinum Pass worth $30,000.

PSPC Ticket Machine gives away free tickets for completing missions

The Ticket Machine promotion has been running for about five years based on various series - SCOOP, Stadium Series and others. It has established itself among the players, and this time it will give away tickets to the PSPC step satellites with a total value of $500,000.

To participate in the Ticket Machine promotion, you need to go to the Missions tab, confirm your participation and complete the maximum number of easy tasks. Mission examples:

  • Play two MTTs
  • Play three Spin&Gos
  • Play 10 hands on Zoom

For each completed task, you will receive a ticket to the draw, which takes place once a week. The more tickets you have, the more chances you have to win a buy-in to one of the Mega Path step satellites. Any buy-in up to $1000 can fall out.
